Shuki Licht
Shuki is responsible for defining and driving Finastra’s innovation strategy and delivery. As well as supporting development in line with the Finastra vision to be the number one open platform in the world of financial services, he leads collaborative challenges and workshops with customers and partners to spark new ideas and encourage co-creation. He and his team also run internal innovation sprints and hackathons to unearth exciting new ideas from within the business.
Harnessing best practices including design thinking, a lean start-up mentality and agile development, Shuki and team are trialling and integrating Finastra technology with the latest developments, from artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL) to blockchain and open APIs. At Finastra offices around the world, and from the innovation labs in Budapest and Atlanta, they move ideation to demo-ready products that will help create the next generation of financial services.
Prior to joining Finastra in May 2018, Shuki was Head of NCR Innovations Labs. He was responsible for innovation activities across three business verticals including financial services, retail and hospitality. At NCR he oversaw the global innovation process and teams committed to developing demo-ready solutions, which supported millions of dollars in revenue at the company. With over 20 years’ experience in software architecture and innovation, he has also previously held Software Architect and innovations team lead roles at Micron Technology, Numonyx and Intel, amongst others.
Shuki has degrees in Civil Engineering and Software Engineering from Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. He speaks regularly at industry events on innovation, including the AI Summit in New York.
