As Chief Executive Officer, Simon has overall responsibility for Finastra including its strategic direction, growth and financial results.
Simon joined Finastra (formerly Misys) as President in June 2015, he was appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer in 2017 and Chief Executive Officer in June 2018. He brings more than 20 years of sales, management and leadership expertise to the company. He came to Misys from SAP where his last role was President Industry Cloud. Formerly a senior consultant with McKinsey & Company, Simon holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the INSEAD Business School in France and a Bachelor’s degree in Business & European languages from the European Business School.
Akber is responsible for Corporate and Business Development activities as well as the orchestration and delivery of our strategy across the business.
Akber previously worked at Colt Technology Services where he was general manager of its Data Centre Services business as well as holding various corporate roles across Business Development, Strategy and Architecture. He also spent three years on assignment in Asia, where he was accountable for investments into the region, and operations for an acquired business.
Before joining Colt, Akber undertook a number of commercial roles with several Silicon Valley start-ups in the software, digital and mobile sectors. Prior to this, he was a management consultant across the financial services and technology sectors.
Akber holds a B.Sc. in Economics. He also holds a M.Sc. in Information Systems and is a graduate from the London School of Economics (LSE) as well as being an AMP graduate from Harvard Business School.
As Head of Global Services, Andrew has responsibility for the global Professional Services field organisation.
Andrew joined Finastra (formerly Misys) in September 2016 and brings more than 30 years’ international IT and services experience to the company. He came to Misys having worked as a private consultant with two premium UK-based private equity firms.
Prior to this, Andrew held roles as Interim Chief Operations Officer at AE Power International, Regional Managing Director at International SOS, Senior Vice President at SAP, and Vice President Northern Europe at SSA Global. Andrew’s career also includes roles with i2 Technologies, PwC, Oracle, Unisys Corporation and the British Forces.
As Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Retail Banking and TCM, Boris has responsibility for all our retail banking and treasury and capital markets products and solutions including product strategy, product management, development, quality assurance and delivery of all new product releases; as well as enablement of Sales, Professional Services, Customer Support and Partners.
Boris joined Finastra (formerly Misys) in June 2012 when Misys and Turaz, the Kondor+ business from Thomson Reuters, merged and became Global Head of Product Management, responsible for the Misys product strategy and product management. Prior to that Boris ran the R&D function for the Kondor+ business at Thomson Reuters since 2007.
Before joining Thomson Reuters, Boris was an Associate Principal in the McKinsey Business Technology Office in London, where his primary focus was on the banking and securities and software industries. Prior to that, he was a CIO/COO of a Russian bank. He started his professional career in 1990 as a mathematician and a software engineer.
As Executive Vice President of Executive Talent, CSR, Diversity and Inclusion at Finastra, Charlotte architects strategically important human capital management milestones that shape the organization’s future growth capability and financial performance.
Charlotte joined Finastra (formerly Misys) in June 2012 when Misys and Turaz, the Kondor+ business from Thomson Reuters, merged. Prior to this Charlotte spent 12 years with Ventyx where she was HR Director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa and the Asia Pacific. During her time with Ventyx, Charlotte was responsible for providing strategic and operational support across all functions in the regions.
As the Chief Product and Technology Officer, Eli is responsible for our Product and Technology organizations. His main areas of accountability include Product, Solution and Platform Strategy, Product Portfolio Management, Product Management, Innovation, Customer Centric Design, Architecture, Engineering, and Quality Assurance.
Eli brings more than 25 years of experience to the role, from product and platform strategy and architecture, to the solutions development lifecycle and data center operations. Before joining Finastra, Eli held leadership positions at NCR Corp, a global technology company. He was most recently CTO and Head of Product Management, driving the transformation from a hardware and services company to a global leader in platform, data and solutions for financial services, retail and hospitality.
As Chief Risk Officer, Elona is responsible for a broad portfolio of risk management matters across Finastra and leads the company’s continued focus on world-class risk management strategies, including information security, regulatory compliance, enterprise risk management and governance, working closely with regulators, clients and partners.
Prior to joining Finastra, Elona was SVP, Enterprise Risk Management, at Black Knight, with overall accountability for development, implementation, and governance of the company’s Risk framework and supporting programs.
Elona brings more than 15 years of experience from large financial institutions, building foundational components and driving transformational maturity efforts in Enterprise Risk Management, Information Security, IT Governance, and Regulatory Compliance programs at U.S. Bank and Wells Fargo Bank.
She is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified in the Governance of Enterprise Information Technology (CGEIT), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), and Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM), and holds an MBA in Finance and Strategic Management from the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management.
As Chief Information Officer, Gareth is responsible for our global Information Services team, including core infrastructure, employee collaboration and IT services, while delivering our key business and financial applications.
Prior to joining Finastra, Gareth was Chief Information Officer at Laing O’Rourke – a global, privately-held, engineering and construction business – leading the IT functions. With most of his career focused in global IT and technology leadership roles within the telecommunications and oil and gas industries, Gareth has experience in leading large digital transformation programs. He also holds a non-executive board position with an industry leading European SaaS software business.
As Head of Global Customer Support, Greg has responsibility for the global Customer Support organisation.
Greg brings more 20 years of experience in the financial services and technology sectors. He was previously Group Head Customer Support at Finastra (formerly D+H). Before joining Finastra he was Executive Vice President Sales at Dealfind.com.
Prior to this, Greg held roles as Vice President Customer Operations and Service Delivery MTS Allstream. Prior to this Greg held a variety of senior roles at Bell Canada: Vice President Customer Experience, Vice President Process Transformation and Vice President of Small and Medium Business.
As SVP, Chief Human Resources Officer, Joe Plavetic is responsible for driving a proactive people strategy that supports the successful growth of Finastra. Joe is responsible for delivering a world class people agenda through deep business insights to inform the design and deployment of people programs that support the business objectives across all functions and geographies. Prior to joining D+H (now Finastra) in 2014, Joe held senior HR roles at Unilever, where he worked across many business units and geographies during his 20-year career with the company. He has lived and worked in Canada, United States, Netherlands, and UK over his career. Joe has led the people and change management efforts as part of significant business transformation throughout his career including implementing new business models and supporting M&A activity. Joe holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of British Columbia along with professional programs through the University of Michigan and USC Center for Effective Organizations.
As the Vice-President of Internal Audit, John is charged with leading the Internal Audit function to achieve world-class standards. In his role, he is responsible for sharpening the Audit team’s focus on key risks that affect the Company’s strategic objectives.
John joined Finastra (formerly D+H) in 2014. Prior to joining Finastra, John previously managed audit teams at Phillip Morris International, AIG & CIT Group. John has over 25 years of experience in Internal Audit, Compliance/Risk and Fraud Prevention in the financial services and law enforcement sectors.
As Chief Marketing Officer, Martin is responsible for our Global Marketing Organization.
Martin joined Finastra (formerly Misys) in October 2013 and brings more than 20 years' technology marketing and executive leadership experience with global market players to the company. Martin came to Misys from Akamai Technologies Inc. where he was the Vice President Marketing and Channels responsible for all marketing functions and channel sales divisions across EMEA.
Prior to this he was the worldwide Marketing Vice President for Oracle's Hardware Line of Business and the EMEA Vice President Marketing and part of the EMEA Executive Board for Sun Microsystems.
As the SVP, Technology Enabled Managed Services (TEMS), Monique is responsible for the strategic direction, growth and financial results for our Cheque, Collateral Management, Enhancement Services, and Student Lending businesses.
Monique joined D+H (now Finastra) in 2010 and has held several leadership roles in technology and P&L management, running large scale agile programs that modernize the digital borrower experience and transform front office and back office operations.
Prior to Finastra, Monique held various global leadership roles at Hewlett Packard and Procter & Gamble.
Monique holds a Bachelor degree in Science from the University of Waterloo and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the Schulich School of Business.
As Chief Cloud Officer at Finastra, Natalie Gammon oversees the company’s data center operations, client-facing technology, and information security groups. In this role, she is responsible for driving Finastra’s cloud and data center roadmap, establishing enterprise-wide technology strategies, standards, policies, programs and processes, as well as managing all aspects of the company’s client-facing data center operations and IT functions.
Natalie joined Finastra (formerly Misys) in 2017. In addition to her significant executive experience, Natalie’s expertise includes the design, build and optimization of complex infrastructure and application solutions across a broad range of industry sectors. Prior to joining Finastra Natalie held senior roles with FNZ and Deutsche Bank.
As Chief Financial Officer, Rob has full responsibility for our G&A organizations including Finance, Risk, IT, Legal, Facilities and Procurement.
Rob joined Finastra (formerly Misys) in February 2016 and has extensive experience as a senior level finance leader in the software and technology industry. Rob came to Misys from HP Inc where he held a variety of senior roles, including Group Treasurer, HP Inc, and Vice President and CFO, HP Software. Rob originally joined HP in 2007 as Finance Director for HP Software in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) regions. Prior to this, Rob held finance leadership roles in the software industry in the UK and Canada, including tenures at Documentum Software (now owned by EMC Corporation) and Mercury Interactive.
Rob is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants. In 2014 and 2015, Rob was ranked by Institutional Investor as a top investor relations (IR) professional in the technology sector.
As EVP, International, Ryan is responsible for client relationships, go-to-market strategy, pipeline development, and key strategic initiatives that will drive growth for our business across all products and the EMEA & APAC territories. Ryan brings over 30 years of experience in running software businesses and sales leadership.
Ryan has held several leadership positions at Misys (now Finastra), with the most recent being Global Head of Sales. Ryan joined Misys in March 2012 from SunGard, where he was Managing Director for EMEA for the Trading Segment and ran the sales teams for front and back office trading systems. Prior to SunGard, Ryan was the Head of Americas for GL Trade, where he ran all aspects of the business unit and was responsible for building the Latin American business later acquired by SunGard.
Ryan holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University. After graduation, Ryan also served as a Captain in the US Army Reserves for 11 years where he held various leadership positions.
As Chief Operating Officer, Tom oversees our customer-facing operations, including Customer Support, Global Services, and Global Technology and Cloud Operations. In addition to these responsibilities, Tom leads our Integration Management Office (IMO) and Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) teams.
Prior to the creation of Finastra, Tom was the Chief Operations Officer at Misys, responsible for delivering support services to that company’s customers worldwide, as well as for growth initiatives, including Cloud Enablement and Corporate Development. In 2017, Tom stepped out of that role to be dedicated full-time to leading the integration of D+H and Misys. Tom originally joined Misys in August 2009 and has held various roles since, including as Acting CEO during the period when Misys and Turaz, the Kondor+ business from Thomson Reuters, merged. Before joining Misys, Tom spent eight years with GE Healthcare, a division of the General Electric Company.
