Growing up in Russia and Romania respectively, founders Slava and Alex saw firsthand how many healthy businesses – even family businesses – in emerging markets were forced to shut down due to liquidity issues or dysfunctional local credit markets.

It wasn’t until their education in the UK that they saw how in developed markets funds sit idly in bank accounts for negligible rates. The misallocation of capital was clear. So too was the opportunity.

Slava and Alex founded Finverity in London in 2017 to fix the $1.7 trillion global trade finance gap – the amount of money available to businesses versus the amount they need. Even today, millions around the world are starved of the capital they need, unable to reach their true growth potential.

Finverity wants to change all that.
