Joerg heads up the Corporate Marketing function at Finastra. As a transformational leader, he is responsible for shaping the company’s marketing strategy across multiple disciplines including brand management, demand generation, marketing operations, events, web and social media, ultimately, helping to drive company growth and customer success.
With over 20 years of leadership experience in the B2B software industry, Joerg has helped many global marketing organizations to become integrated, high performing, and digital-first. With boundless optimism, he believes in focus, simplicity, and the courage to be different. He is particularly passionate about cultivating a strong team culture and a safe space to innovate, fail fast, and win big.
Joerg and his team have landed many awards and accolades for their work including, FinTech B2B Marketing Awards: Best Innovative Use of AI in Content Marketing and B2B Marketing Elevation Awards: Winner Best Multi-Channel Campaign. Finastra also holds Superbrand UK status, testament to Finastra’s approach to leadership and innovation in the marketing space, under his guidance.
Joerg held various senior leadership positions, including leading Demand Generation at Software AG. He has also worked at IDS Scheer and Intershop Communications.
Joerg holds a Master of Business Administration from Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena and studied Business Administration, Marketing, and Computer Science at Louisiana State University.
Based in Saarbrücken, Germany, Joerg enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, and at weekends he loves to jump on his bike to cycle his favorite trails.
