Io Martin Guballa
Io Martin Guballa is the Commercial Operations Director of SquidPay Technology, Inc., a start-up fintech company that provides a convenient and efficient payment experience for Filipinos. He is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in Retail Banking, Microfinance, Digital Banking, Fintech e-payments, and online lending platforms with focus on strategic, business and partnership development towards increasing the user base and portfolio.
Prior to joining SquidPay, Mr. Guballa was the CEO of AND Financing Corporation, an Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning-based fintech, headquartered in Singapore, and he was also the Digital Transformation of Rural Banks Product Manager of the Union Bank of the Philippines’ technology studio UBX, with the objective of building the technological capabilities of Rural Banks and Non-Bank Financial Institutions.
He also worked in a Rural Bank, Positive Planet NGO, BPI Globe BankO, Land Bank of the Philippines, World Bank – Department of Agrarian Reform Foreign Assisted Projects Office, and provided consulting services to several microfinance institutions, with focus on operations, product development and training.
He is extremely passionate about his work and is continuously seeking ways to improve running business development and operations.
