Bacsactive-IP FAQs

Yes, Bacsactive-IP has been a Bacs-approved software service for more than 20 years, as well as an approved Bacs bureau.

To submit Bacs payments, organisations need a Bacs-approved software solution or access to a Bacs bureau that submits payments on your behalf. 

The Finastra Bacsactive-IP service runs from multiple UK data centres. Our support, development, product management and project teams are all UK based too.

We consistently exceed our committed system SLA of 99.5%, with 100% uptime on our multi-tenant SaaS systems since 2016.

Bacsactive-IP runs in multiple geographically separate data centres, replicated on a real-time basis, meaning that in the unlikely event that one site can no longer be used, the data and system is accessible from another site. These data centres are tier-3 aligned which means they are resilient to N+1 for key components, for example power supplies, cooling, and connectivity. 

There are a range of additional modules available to enhance the Bacsactive-IP solution, these include Confirmation of Payee (CoP), automation with our Workflow module, Open API for easy integration, and Faster Payments connectivity to the FPS DCA service.
