Rehan Ahmed

Rehan Ahmed is CEO and a founding member of Marketnode, where he leads the development of digital market infrastructure across data, networks, and access. His career spans more than two decades across fixed income, credit markets, trading, and market infrastructure in Europe and Asia.

Before Marketnode, Rehan served as Head of Fixed Income Products and Digital Assets at SGX Group, where he oversaw the launch of a digital bond issuance platform that ultimately led to the formation of Marketnode. During his time at SGX Group, he was also involved in the launch of its institutional bond trading platform and led the rollout of its General Counterparty service before turning his focus to digital assets.

Rehan began his career on the fixed income trading desk at Bear Stearns in London in 2005, before moving into credit structuring and trading at UBS and portfolio management at CDC Group, now British International Investment. Since relocating to Asia in 2010, he has held roles spanning electronic trading, market development, and investor access, including at Bloomberg and IDFC Securities. At Bloomberg, he worked on regional market initiatives including Pakistan’s first online debt auction system and Sri Lanka’s interdealer debt trading platform.

A regular voice at the intersection of traditional finance, digital assets, and market infrastructure, Rehan has spoken at major industry forums including Sibos, regional financial services and fintech forums across Singapore and Hong Kong, and conferences convened by industry bodies such as ICMA and APLMA. His perspectives on the evolution and modernisation of financial markets have also been featured across industry media including The Asian Banker, Regulation Asia, Asset Servicing Times, and Global Custodian.
