Manisha Tank

With an international media career spanning over 25 years, she is widely recognised for anchoring prime-time programming for premier networks like CNN International, BBC World News, Reuters Television and more recently, CNBC Asia. Today, she is a prominent media entrepreneur based in Singapore, working as an independent talk show host, high-profile event moderator, and angel investor.

Tank began her professional trajectory with Reuters Financial Television, reporting on critical market shifts from London and New York. Her talent soon led her to the BBC, where she became a recognisable anchor for BBC World News, BBC News 24, and domestic UK breakfast programmes. During this period, she regularly fronted the network's flagship business broadcasts out of New York.

She later joined CNN International, spending more than a decade as an anchor and correspondent in London, Hong Kong and Singapore. Tank hosted many of CNN's benchmark programmes, including World Business Today, Talk Asia, and News Stream. News Stream was voted the "Best TV News Programme" award at the Asian TV Awards. Throughout her television career, she has interviewed hundreds of world leaders, corporate CEOs, and global cultural icons.

After a successful tenure as a radio presenter for Singapore’s MONEY FM 89.3 from 2019 onward, Tank diversified her media contributions. She remains an active freelance broadcaster, as a stand in on CNBC’s Squawk Box Asia, Inside India and occasionally, The China Connection. As an independent creator, Tin association with Asiaworks’s Studios, Tank produces and hosts Tank Talks Asia, a bespoke talk show and podcast. The series showcases regional innovators and explores positive human-interest narratives across business, tech, and culture from an Asian centrist viewpoint. She also creates targeted corporate audio content for premier institutions like Standard Chartered.

On the live stage, Tank is highly sought after as a master of ceremonies and moderator. She routinely guides panels at major economic forums, including the Milken Institute Asia Summit, the Point Zero Forum, and the Singapore Fintech Festival. Her focus centres heavily on green tech, net-zero financial transitions, and enterprise-level artificial intelligence. Notably, she hosted Earthshot+, the investor forum tied to Prince William's environmental Earthshot Prize initiative.

Beyond her media output, Tank is an active angel investor who exclusively backs early-stage startups aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). She splits her time between commercial enterprise and civic involvement, serving on the Outreach Committee for Singapore's Dover Park Hospice and sitting on the board of the Oxford and Cambridge Society of Singapore. Additionally, she advises Kala the Arts, a South Asian arts foundation in the UK.
