Dr. Ahmed Darwish is a strategic, innovative, and visionary leader experienced in digital banking with deep knowledge of setting up strategy, digital factories, digital products, electronic money and payment solutions, and innovation.

With diversified experience working for IBM, Fujitsu, Siemens, Alrajhi Bank, Alinma Bank, and Bank Albilad, he has led several organizations into success, proven by post-implementation benefits realization.

The experience he had serving banking, insurance, Telco, travel, government, and health sectors enables him to understand multiple industries and add value to each based on the practices learned from the other ones.

Dr. Ahmed has led an end-to-end development of AI-based digital banking products using Design Thinking, including Metaverse, Payments, Cash Management, Open Banking, Open Finance, Open Economy, BaaS and Wallets, Digital Channels (mobile and online banking), Digital onboarding, Family Banking, Digital Assets.

Ahmed is a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) in Intergovernmental Information Systems from Newcastle University Business School (NUBS). He is also holding a master’s degree in computer engineering and BSC in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Cairo University (1999 and 1992 respectively).
