Finastra recognized as a global fintech leader for third year running by multiple analyst firms

New York, NY, US - July 6, 2020 Finastra has topped the IBS Intelligence Sales League Table as the overall global leader based on product breadth and geographic coverage. This is the third consecutive year the firm was recognized in IBS’s benchmarking report on the sales performance of banking technology suppliers. The report also recognized Finastra as the leader in several other categories, including Domestic Leader, USA and Global Leader, Geographic Spread.

A separate report, Forrester’s Global Platform Deals Survey 2020 by, Jost Hoppermann, VP and Principal Analyst, recognized Finastra in their survey of 35 global banking platforms,  accrediting Finastra as a “Top Global Player” for new and extended deals.

The IBSI SLT 2020 includes systems purchases made by over 1,700 banks across 240 products from 62 suppliers across the Americas, Europe, Middle East, Africa and APAC. The number of deals evaluated were 70% more than last year, reported across 150 countries globally. Finastra received top honors in the following categories:

  • Leader (Rank 1) in USA (Domestic supplier)
  • Leader (Rank 1) Global Leader Product Breadth
  • Leadership position in Geographic Spread
  • Leadership position in Transaction Banking
  • Leadership position in Pure-Play Digital Only Bank

The Forrester research saw Finastra sign 296 combined deals in 2019 – 119 more combined deals than signed by the nearest competitor.  According to Forrester, these combined deals represent a vendor's ability to enhance its market position and to continue creating value for its existing customers.
